Couple of recent tweets from him:

Would like to thank everyone for their messages. Both the club and I feel like me leaving would be the best for my development.

I'd like to thank everyone at the club who was helped me these last few years and I am looking forward to seeing what the near future holds!

A bit sad for him, but best that he finds a new club. I always want to know what went wrong, but I don't suppose anyone ever quite knows.

Shame. Had the right attitude and looked good early in but just did happen.

Best of luck son, hope you find success somewhere.

He was cursed with being tipped by fordy to take Nobles place along with Diame.

Re: Diego Poyet
Limited ability, probably only got as far as he did because of his dad.

Expect him to be playing for Dagenham and Redbridge before too long.

He never quite recovered from the negative tweets he had made about Andy Carroll before arriving at West Ham.

Always a bit sad when it doesn't work out for young kids.
On the bright side if John Moncur's God bothering twerp of a son can make it further down the league structure I'm sure Poyet Jr can.
If Charlton have any sense they will take him back

Re: Diego Poyet
It's a shame as you always want youngsters to succeed at the club, but sadly it's probably for the best. His passing just wasn't good enough and he lacked in movement and vision from what I saw of him. Not the worst at defending, but we'd rightly want more than just that from a midfielder. Best of luck to him.
